About
A small, single-purpose tool for saving media from public posts on X. This page explains what it is, who runs it, and where it stops.
What this is
SSSTwitter.site takes a link to a public post on X (formerly Twitter), works out which media files that post contains, and lists them so you can save the one you want. That is the whole product. There is no account, no app, no dashboard and no upsell.
It exists because the alternatives are mostly worse: installers that bundle things you did not ask for, sites that re-encode a file that was already in the right format, and tools that advertise a quality they cannot actually deliver. We would rather show you exactly what a post contains, including when the answer is disappointing.
How it is built
The site is a standard web application. When you submit a link we validate it, normalize it, and ask a media service which files the post holds. The files themselves are downloaded by your browser directly — they never pass through our server, which keeps things fast and means we are not holding copies of anyone's video.
The how it works page goes through that sequence step by step, including what is written to our database and for how long.
What we will not do
Only publicly readable posts can be processed. If an account is protected, its posts are visible only to approved followers and there is no public file to fetch. We do not try to work around that, and nothing here is designed to access content someone has chosen not to publish.
We also do not store your downloads, build a profile of what you save, or require anything from you to use the tool. There is no account to create, which means there is nothing to delete later.
Paying for it
The tool is free. Hosting and bandwidth are intended to be covered by advertising, which is why you may see space marked out for it. Nothing is behind a paywall and there are no plans to put anything there.
Independence and trademarks
SSSTwitter.site is an independent third-party service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to X Corp. or Twitter.
X, Twitter and related names and marks are the property of X Corp. We use them only to describe accurately which links this tool accepts, as permitted by ordinary descriptive use. We do not use official logos to suggest any relationship, and no part of this site should be read as implying one.
